iPad Insurance: Did you miss the window?
Spring 2025 Insurance: $12.50
You may still purchase iPad insurance for the remainder of the school year! Please follow these steps if you would like to purchase insurance for your student’s iPad:
- Have your student bring their iPad to the office to be inspected.
- When we determine that the iPad is in working order, we will add the fee to Infinite Campus.
- The fee can be paid by cash or check in the office, or on RevTrak.
Middle School Wrestling Season is Here!
Boys and Girls both welcome, registration is open from January 20th to 29th.
The first practice is on January 27th after school. Practices run from 4:00-5:30.
Practices will be held 5 days a week until meets begin, then transition to 4 days a week.
All skills welcome, from beginners to experienced! Wrestlers will be matched based on weight classifications as well as skills for the meets. All grade levels have the opportunity to participate and travel to the meets.

Career Day!
Altona is excited to hold our 3rd annual school-wide Career Day on April 25th! Adult family members or friends of Altona students are encouraged to participate as speakers in the event. We welcome help from anyone passionate about their occupation and open to discussing it with Rattlers! Spring Drama Opportunity: The Brother’s Grimm Spectaculathon
We are partnering with the Silver Creek Thespian Group, an International Honor Society at the high school, to create a one-act play, The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon, for Spring 2025. This group led by Tracy Knick, Silver Creek’s Theatre Director, is working on a plan for Altona students to have a production this spring at Silver Creek. All auditions and performances will be held at Silver Creek High School with a workshop and family meeting on February 12. Auditions to occur on February 21, with rehearsals throughout March and April and performances on April 24 and 25. Additionally, cast members will be invited to the Silver Creek performance of Mean Girls on March 6th.

Dawson Summer Initiative (DSI) offers a free summer academic program that follows a thematic approach and is geared for high-achieving, independent students who are currently in Grade 6 and Grade 7.
Over the past several summers, scholars have enjoyed working with students from Altona and over 30 different schools predominantly in the St. Vrain, Boulder Valley, and Adams 12 School Districts. The program is geared toward high academic achievers who are effective collaborators. They are seeking students who would benefit from an opportunity to work with peers from other schools, sharing like-minded goals.
