Nominate A Teacher for the Jared Polis Foundation Award

Each April, the Jared Polis Foundation accepts nominations for its annual Teacher Recognition Awards.  This program gives our community the opportunity to nominate exceptional teachers for recognition.  Information about the awards and the easy nomination process is below.  Nominations are due Friday, April 13.  If you have questions, please contact Hilary Sontag, Director of Competitive Grants and Strategic Partnerships, at [email protected].   Jared Polis Foundation’s 2018 Teacher Recognition Awards: 

  • Every year the foundation honors 10 Colorado public school teachers during National Teacher Appreciation week in early May (nomination deadline is April 13th).  
  • The JPF Teacher Recognition honorees are nominated by colleagues, students, parents or staff.  
  • Teacher honorees receive the following: $1,000 discretionary award; $500 technology grant; $1,000 teacher-directed school grant; the “Apple Award”; recognition in The Denver Post; and, the foundation will inform the honoree’s school and district or charter school board.
