Dear St. Vrain Valley Community,

Public education is the cornerstone of our democracy. The impact of our schools and their role in shaping the future success of our society extends far beyond the smart boards, desks and walls of our classrooms. From economic development, to national security, to home and commercial property values, to business and corporate development, and community growth, our public schools provide a strong foundation for advancing the quality of our lives and the direction of our future.

A-PAL's Chinese New Year Celebration

From 2:00-5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, the Asian-Pacific Association of Longmont (A-PAL) will present its 2018 Chinese New Year celebration honoring the “Year of the Dog.”

2018 Winter Parent/Teacher Conference Information

Our final round of conferences for this year are on Tuesday and Thursday, January 30th and February 1st, from 4:00 - 8:30 pm.  You can click on this link (or copy and paste from below) to sign up to see your student's teachers. Altona's CyberPatriot's Teams Advancing in Nationwide Competition!

Three of Altona's CyberPatriot teams scored in the top 10% nationwide in their last competition from Saturday, December 9th. 
  • Team 1 - 24th Place (3.5%): Adithya Bhaskara, Zach Schulz, Agam Singh, Andrew Wheelock, Ben Xu
  • Team 2 - 47th Place (6.9%): Mae Ferry, Ashley Kim, Megan Lister, Paige Massey, Hannah Piersol
  • Team 3 - 65th Place (9.9%): Cole Fischer, Yash Gore, Joe Looney, Kartik "Josh" Narayan

Altona Tours

WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) Student Leaders will guide you on a tour of Alonta Middle School on Thursdays at 10:00am.  This is your opportunity to see the school in action and ask questions about our school.

When?  Every Thursday, from December through March from 10:00 - 10:30am.
